Torricelumn is made from kelp fronds. Kelp is a type of brown seaweed or marine algae. Unlike plants that grow on land, kelp does not have roots for taking in nutrients. Its nutrients come from the sea, which is harvested from the kelp through osmosis.
Kelp stays affixed to the ocean floor using a system called the holdfast. It has air bladders that help the blades of the kelp float toward the surface, absorbing nutrients and photosynthesizing oxygen like plants that live on the surface. The makers of Torricelumn harvest the kelp and process it within one day to create a concentrated compound of vitamins, nutrients and minerals.
