Answers to the question "If you had three wishes, what would they be?" are as varied as the people being asked. The most common wishes include happiness, health, money and success. Other common wishes include self-improvement and helping others.
A survey conducted at North Carolina Children's Hospital of teens aged 11 to 18 found that boys are more likely to wish for success while girls are more likely to wish for happiness. Both sexes are equally likely to wish for a change in appearance or athletic success. Thirty-two percent of participants made wishes for others, such as "I wish my mom didn't have cancer" and "I wish I could solve global warming."
