Is It a Sin for a Christian to Smoke Pot in Legal Countries and States?

No Bible resources speak specifically in prohibition of using marijuana. However, Galatians 5:19-21 says that practitioners of a list of "deeds of the flesh," including using intoxicating drugs, will not allow them to inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:19-21 lists "immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these" as sins.

Sorcery, in this context, translates as "the use or the administering of drugs," according to GodandScience.org. Even if marijuana is legal in the area in which a Christian lives or visits, it is still contrary to the word of the Bible to smoke it for intoxication.
