To program a Karr Keyless Remote or transmitter to work with the Karr Security System, the system’s active arming mode must be on. Active and passive arming options are available.

To program the system for active arming, turn the ignition key off before exiting the vehicle and closing the door. Press the remote’s lock button once before waiting for both the vehicle’s horn and brake lights to chirp and flash once. A pulsing red LED will indicate that the system has been armed.

To disarm the system using the remote, press the unlock button once. Both the horn as well as the brake lights will chirp and flash twice, and the pulsing red LED will turn off. This indicates that the system has been disarmed. Battery replacement is suggested every 10 to 12 months.
