What Does “product” Mean in Math?

A product in math is defined as the answer of an equation in which two or more variables are multiplied. In other terms, a product is the answer to any multiplication problem.

Products can be found by multiplying different variables together. The number of variables in the problem can change, but most often, two numbers are multiplied together to form a product.

The converse of multiplication is division. The answer of two variables that are divided by each other is known as a quotient. In division, only two variables can exist in one problem, whereas many variables can exist in multiplication.
