Classic spider solitaire employs the same general rules as the standard solitaire card game where the player is dealt 10 piles of cards with the top card showing and tries to group the cards sequentially in suit from king to ace in the least amount of moves. The game is simple to learn but hard to win, according to CNET.

  4. The object of the game is to clear the table by creating columns of descending runs in the fewest amount of moves.

  5. Play the game
  6. To play spider solitaire, move the cards in descending order to build stacks from king to ace. Move one card at a time or move a run of cards together to form the columns in descending order. Once a column is complete, it flies off of the table and the player earns points.
