What Is Pixelmon in Minecraft?

Pixelmon is a fan-created modification in “Minecraft.” This mod is heavily based on the Pokemon games, and it is designed to allow players to find, capture and train various Pokemon for battle.

Pixelmon starts by giving the player to ability to choose from a list of starter Pokemon, such as Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Totodile, Cyndaquil, Chikorita, Treecko, Mudkip and Torchic. Once the player selects a starter Pokemon, then he is able to start playing the game.

Once the game starts, players are able to capture, trade, train and battle with their Pokemon. As a Pokemon battles more, it gains experience, and when the Pokemon gets enough experience, it evolves into a larger and more powerful version of itself.

Scattered throughout the game world are other computer controlled characters that have their own Pokemon. If a player makes contact with these characters, a battle begins. The player must stay in the battle until it is over, which is when all Pokemon on one team faint.

Players are also tasked with creating their own Pokeballs, which are items used to capture Pokemon that are not already owned by other trainers. In addition to this, Pixelmon is playable on various servers in which players take part in activities, such as gym battles.
