Who Owns Comcast?


Comcast Corporation, headquartered in Philadelphia, Pa. is a publicly traded media and technology company with two subsidiaries: Comcast Cable and NBCUniversal. The company is the largest broadcasting and cable company in the world based on revenue as of 2014.

In the United States, both residential and business customers use video, high-speed Internet and telephone services from Comcast Cable. NBCUniversal operates different genres of broadcast networks including entertainment, sports and Telemundo, a Spanish-language network. NBCUniversal also oversees a film-production studio, Universal Pictures, and Universal Parks and Resorts, which has hundreds of family-entertainment attractions globally. Comcast Corporation plans to acquire one of its primary competitors, Time Warner Cable, in 2014.
