About 11 basic religions exist in the world today. Under these main religions, there are various denominations or basic groupings.

Christianity has various denominations like Jehovah's Witnesses, Roman Catholicism, Mormonism, Protestantism and Orthodox Christianity. However, all of them have one thing in common: they believe in Jesus Christ as the world's savior. Buddhism is further divided into Theravada Buddhism, Hoa Hao and Mahayana Buddhism.
In today's world, there are also people who are classified as non-religious. They are atheists and agnostics. The former does not believe in any kind of God or deity while the latter does not believe in the presence or lack of presence of God or deity.
