What Are the Names of the Hosts for the QVC Channel?

The QVC channel has 26 hosts, including Albany Irvin, Amy Stran, Dan Wheeler and David Venable. QVC uses casting agencies to find new on-air talent and program hosts.

Albany Irvin has been a QVC host since 2009. She has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Prior to hosting QVC programs, she was a spokesperson for notable companies such as Ford, Samsung and DIRECTV.

Amy Stran has been with QVC since 2009 as well. She earned her degree in theater from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina. She was part of the casts of the soap operas “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” before joining QVC.

David Venable has been with QVC since 1993, and has amassed a large viewership and fan base through the success of his QVC program “In the Kitchen with David.” His segment features the latest in gourmet food trends and cookware, kitchen gadgets and cookbooks. He received a bachelor’s degree in radio, television and motion pictures from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Venable released his first cookbook “In the Kitchen with David: Comfort Foods That Take You Home” in 2012.

Dan Wheeler has been with QVC since 1991. He graduated in 1977 from Evangel College. Prior to becoming a television host, he was a sports anchor and worked as a camera operator and senior producer. He wrote a book called “Best Seat in the House: Untold Stories of DiMaggio, Mantle, Foreman & Other Sports Legends.”
