The concrete block at the end of a parking spot is known as a parking curb, parking bumper, wheel stop, parking chock, curb stop or bumper block. Parking curbs can be made out of steel, concrete or plastic. They are used to protect structures or areas from vehicles.

A parking curb may be purchased from online retailers. The price varies based on size, material and color.

Locations with lots of pedestrian traffic often use parking curbs to prevent cars from accidentally entering areas where people are walking. Curb stops slow down a car when the driver inadvertently puts it in gear or presses the gas instead of the brake.
