A stock Chevy 305, such as the LG4'84 Camaro, can generate a net of 145 horsepower under normal conditions. When tested in optimized conditions with no modifications made to the engine itself, the engine of a Chevy 305 can generate up to 197.3 horsepower.
Later models of the Chevy 305 stock engines can generate up to 200 horsepower at mint condition and were rated to generate a maximum of 250 horsepower when optimized. The Chevy 305 small-block engine was in production between 1976 and 2002. Some of the cars that featured a Chevy 305 engine were the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird.
