According to Fixr in 2014, the typical cost to pave a driveway ranges between $800 to $1,500. These costs apply to driveways that are 600 square feet in size.
Paving costs may vary between states and cities. In addition, a standard paving project will include excavation costs of $48 per hour, stump removal that averages $68 per tree, site clearing at $150 to $400 per hour and grading which averages $2.35 per square yard. The actual pavement can cost up to $800 with gravel but drop to $75 per cubic yard with concrete. Fixr also notes the additional costs associated with sloped and curved driveways.
