Share amounts of the program are based on the Annual Household Portion, which is the amount an individual, couple or family must pay toward eligible medical bills, according to Christian Care Ministry. These payments are then published for sharing after a 12-month period. Options range from as low as $500 to as high as $10,000. Additionally, members who live a healthy lifestyle can receive a discount of up to 20 percent.

For seniors, a separate program known as Senior Assist is available. Christians over 65 years of age who have Medicare Parts A and B are eligible, notes Christian Care Ministry. Monthly share prices are much cheaper for seniors, with those between the ages of 65 to 70 paying just $70 per month. Other options include $85 per month for seniors between the ages of 71 and 75 and $95 per month for seniors above 76 years of age. Seniors with pre-existing conditions are eligible for sharing if they apply before their 66th birthday.
