According to the U.S. Department of Energy, a 2010 PT Cruiser gets 19 miles per gallon for city driving and 24 miles per gallon for highway driving. Its combined fuel economy is 21 miles per gallon.
The PT Cruiser was launched by Chrysler in early 2000 for the 2001 model year. The last PT Cruiser rolled off of the assembly line on July 9, 2010. The 2010 PT Cruiser had a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine with a four-speed automatic transmission.
The 2010 model was only a slight improvement over the first 2001 model in terms of its fuel economy. The 2001 PT Cruiser gets 18 miles per gallon in the city or 24 miles per gallon on the highway, with a combined fuel economy of 20 miles per gallon.
