Cosmopolitan recommends that anyone watching her weight should take her alcohol consumption into consideration because calories from alcohol add up quickly. For instance, a large glass of dry white wine contains 185 calories. Just three glasses finishes the bottle, which has a calorie count of 555. Red wine has slightly fewer calories.
One pint of premium lager has 330 calories because of the high alcohol content. A beer with 5 percent or less alcohol has significantly fewer calories.
