After countless controlled experiments, scientists have failed to find evidence for magic or the supernatural. While future research could change the status quo, it is highly doubtful that magic is real.
Still, it isn't fair to discount all phenomena that seem magical on the surface. Though magic isn't objectively real, it is possible to subjectively experience things as magical. One influential rule holds that any technology, if sufficiently advanced, seems like magic to the untrained observer. The same holds true of advanced physics. For example, quantum physics describes how the tiniest particles can travel faster than light, which is a phenomenon that is still mysterious to science.
