How Long Does It Take to Deep Fry a Turkey Breast?
Last Updated Apr 16, 2020 7:11:49 AM ET

According to Butterball, it takes three to four minutes per pound to deep fry a turkey breast. Use a thermometer to check the internal temperature before eating. White meat, such as the breast, requires an internal temperature of no less than 165 to 170 degrees Fahrenheit for safe consumption.
Completely thaw the turkey breast before cooking. Remove any excess fat to prevent oil popping out of the fryer. Do not stuff a turkey before frying it. Submerge the basket in the hot oil for around 30 seconds before placing the turkey breast inside to prevent the turkey breast from sticking to the basket. Cool the turkey for 20 minutes before carving.
