Corn on the cob needs to be cooked for four to six minutes in the microwave. It can be cooked with or without the husks on.
If you are going to microwave the corn without the husks on, make sure to place the ears of corn in a microwave-safe dish and pour around two tablespoons of water over the corn. Cover the corn with plastic wrap but make sure to leave a hole for steam to come out. If you are going to microwave the corn with the husk on, place the corn in the microwave. After it is cooked, let it cool some before trying to husk it.
