If the turkey is frozen, it takes 50 percent longer to cook it than a fully thawed bird.
The turkey is safe to eat if it reaches an internal temperature of 165 F. The USDA states that the internal temperature of the turkey can be checked with a food thermometer in the “innermost part of the thigh and wing and the thickest part of the breast.
