Liquor stores are not open on Sundays in Ohio, with one caveat. Technically, Ohio law permits liquor stores to be open from midnight on Sunday until 1 a.m. This is seen as more of an extension or continuation of Saturday hours than actual Sunday hours.
Liquor stores must remain closed from 1 a.m. Sunday through 12 a.m. Monday. Ohio law prohibits the sale of beer, wine, mixed beverages or spirituous liquor at stores on Sunday during this time frame. In addition to the restrictions on sales at liquor stores, these types of beverages cannot be given away or even consumed on the premises of a liquor store on Sunday.
