Our Kingdom Ministry is a newsletter published and distributed by Jehovah's Witnesses that contains information on their meetings. Meetings covered in Our Kingdom Ministry include the Congregation Bible Study, the Theocratic Ministry School and the Service Meeting.
The Our Kingdom Ministry publication focuses on Jehovah’s Witness members, as opposed to many of its other publications that promote the Jehovah’s Witnesses and proselytize their specific Christian views to non-members. The Our Kingdom Ministry publication discusses current Jehovah’s Witnesses events and encourages members to continue the quest to convert non-members. For instance, the theme of the July 2015 issue is "Go and make disciples," a Bible quote from Matthew 28:19.
The Jehovah's Witnesses are a fairly controversial Christian denomination, according to About.com. They practice door-to-door evangelism, and despite there being approximately 7 million Jehovah's Witnesses worldwide, they believe that only 144,000 people are able to go to heaven. They believe that God plans for the rest of saved humanity to remain on a restored Earth and live forever. Jehovah's Witnesses hold services three times a week in unadorned buildings. Services include prayer, singing and sermons by elders or overseers. Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in either hell or the holy trinity, and they reject the cross, which they consider a pagan symbol.
