Mormon women wear a special kind of underwear known as "temple garment." Women start to wear the underwear after their first visit to the temple, when they undergo a ceremony known as the "temple endowment."
The Mormon garment is a two-piece white garment worn directly on the skin. Women are allowed to wear regular bras over the garment. The garment should ideally be worn at all times, and Mormons believe that it protects them from fire, knives, bullets and other dangers. Mormon women are required to purchase the garments only from the Mormon Church, which supplies them at a rather low price.
