Jan Crouch is a religious broadcaster, famous for her co-founding of the Trinity Broadcasting Network. This network has grown exponentially, becoming the leading Christian television station in the United States that offers 24-hour broadcasting with no commercials. Since launching in the late 1970s, Jan Crouch has managed to sell TBN to over 75 countries in 11 different languages. Crouch, now in her late 70s, is also the president and manager of the Holy Land Experience amusement park in Orlando, Florida.
Also known for her work with numerous charities, Jan Crouch began the Smile of a Child Foundation for homeless children and their families in the early 1990s. Described as a humanitarian relief program, this charity provides clothing, food, medical supplies, books and toys to needy children whose lives have been affected by poverty and natural disasters.
Often recognized for her famous, blond wig that she wears in public, Jan Crouch has a signature look that includes tight outfits bedazzled in sparkles and sequins. In March 2012, Crouch was accused of misappropriating funds from her network to spend on her lavish hair, outfits and lifestyle. Some of her expenses included a separate, air-conditioned mobile home for her two Maltese puppies, a private jet and an expensive mansion.
