What Are the Highlights of the Mecum Auctions in Kissimmee?

The highlights of the 2015 Mecum Auction in Kissimmee are muscle cars from the Wellborn collection; muscle and sports cars from the Macchia collection; and nine special-edition Corvettes from the Roger Juddski collection. The Wellborn collection featured vehicles such as the Dodge Challenger T/A, Ford Mustang Boss 429 and Chevelle LS6 coupe.

The 2015 Kissimmee auction featured the Wellborn collection’s 1971 Dodge Hemi Charger R/T, which was valued between $200,000 and $250,000. Wellborn also offered a 1978 Pontiac Firebird that featured in the television series “The Rockford Files.” A 1991 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC Coupe sold at a final price of $6,000, while a 1964 Buick Riviera Coupe sold at $16,200. Rock and roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis also appeared at the 2015 auction and presented his 1959 Harley-Davidson FLH Duo-Glide for sale. This motorcycle sold for $350,000.

The 2015 Mecum Auction took place at the Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee from Jan. 16 to Jan. 25, 2015. In 2014, the auction saw total sales over $63 million from about 1,750 of 2,750 vehicles. The 2016 Kissimmee auction is scheduled for Jan. 15 to Jan. 23, 2016. The 2016 auction’s main attractions include a 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible, a 1969 Pontiac Trans Am Convertible, a 1970 Ford Torino King Cobra and a 1969 Chevy Camaro ZL1.
