Believers find gospel words of welcome in 1 Samuel 25:6, which greets believers with a wish for peace for themselves, their house and all that they own. Romans 15:7 directs believers to welcome each other as Christ welcomes them with the glory of God.
Matthew 25:35-36 reminds believers to welcome different believers, including the poor, sick, strangers and criminals. The chapter continues in verse 40 with Jesus stating, "Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of my brethren you did it to me." Galatians 3:28 explains that all believers are one in Jesus Christ, without discriminating against Jews and Greeks, slaves and freemen, or males and females.
