What Is Some Good Wording for a Building Dedication?
Building dedications often begin with, “In Memory Of,” “Dedicated to” or “To Honor and Recognize the Dedication and Commitment Of.” Next, choose words that best describe the person or group of people to whom the building is dedicated. For example, “A Visionary Leader” or “Loved and Respected by All.”
Building dedications must only have one main thought, wherein focus can be on the dedicatee’s great achievements, major contributions or heroic deeds that made a positive impact on a community or organization. Such details can be worded as, “Tireless and dedicated servant of the public for more than 30 years” or “Gave 30 years of loyal service to the institution he loved so well.” Ideally, there should also be a kind of tribute in the form of a meaningful quote or lines from a speech by the dedicatee.
