Each word listed in the concordance is cross-referenced with the Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic word or words from which it was translated. Definitions are provided for each of the Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic words, and every instance of their use is listed in the order in which they appear in the Bible. The concordance makes accommodations for spelling variations occurring in the root texts.

All words are numbered using a special reference system that Goodrick and Kohlenberger developed; these numbers are known as G/K numbers. The concordance also features a cross-reference between the G/K numbers and Strong Numbers, numbers used in another popular concordance, Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, which focuses on the King James Version of the Bible.
