As of 2014, there are no authentic giant human skeletons. Pictures of giant human skeletons, purportedly from India, Greece, Saudia Arabia or Niger, are actually digitally altered images.
One of the most widespread hoaxes claims that a National Geographic investigative team unearthed an enormous human skeleton in India. The hoax includes a photo of a man with a stick standing over a large skeleton and a skull bigger than the man; however, National Geographic News denies having anything to do with the photo. According to Snopes, the image is part of an "Archaelogical Anomalies" photo-manipulation contest that challenged participants to create an archaeological hoax.
