What Is Flucloxacillin Used to Treat?

Flucloxacillin, also called Flucloxacillin Sodium, is used to treat certain types of bacterial infections, such as skin infections; fleshy tissue infections; chest, ear, nose and throat infections; respiratory tract infections; and infections of other organs, according to NHS Choices. It can also be used to prevent infections after surgical procedures, particularly in the case of heart or orthopedic surgery.
