Is There a Flower That Begins With the Letter “X”?

According to Reference.com, there is a flower that begins with the letter “x,” and it’s called xanthosoma. This flower is a genus of 50 species of tropical and subtropical arums in the flowering plant family, araceae. All species are native to tropical America.

Various species are grown for their starchy corms, which are an important food staple of tropical regions. These are commonly known as macabo, yautia, malanga, tannia, new cocoyam, tannier, ape, yautía, macabo, dasheen, taioba and ape.

Other species are used as ornamental plants. Popular horticultural literature refers to these as elephant ears since they do resemble an elephant’s ear.
