When a blood pressure reading registers above 160/100, it is classified as stage 2 hypertension and can be fatal if not properly treated, reports Mayo Clinic. Hypotension, or low blood pressure, is a reading of 90/60 or less, and it can also be life threatening, explains HeathLine.
Some symptoms of low blood pressure are fainting, dizziness, blurred vision and nausea; in addition to fatigue, depression and shallow breathing, states Mayo Clinic. Hypotension is caused by a variety of conditions including pregnancy, dehydration, heart problems, blood loss and poor dieting.
