Who Are Some of the Most Famous WWE Wrestlers?

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Undertaker, John Cena, Batista, Eddie Guerrero and Hulk Hogan are a few of the most famous WWE wrestlers of all time. Dwayne Johnson won multiple titles with the WWE before starting an acting career, starring in such films as “The Rundown” and “The Other Guys.”

Hulk Hogan has appeared in several movies and television shows, including the reality show focusing on his family “Hogan Knows Best.” Hogan is often credited for being responsible for the 1980s wrestling boom and is perhaps the most recognizable wrestler of all time. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin appeared in several movies and television shows, and his popularity helped his “Austin 3:16” shirt sell more than any shirt in wrestling history.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is widely considered one of the greatest WWE wrestlers of all time. Once a college football player at the University of Miami, he played on the Hurricane’s 1991 national championship team. Johnson has since gone on to star in numerous films in addition to his WWE career. Some films in which he has played a prominent role in include “The Rundown,” “The Other Guys” and “The Scorpion King,” but he may be best known for his role in the “Fast and the Furious” franchise.

Born William Mark Calaway, The Undertaker remains the WWE’s longest serving wrestler as of 2015, having made his debut with the company at the Survivor Series event in 1991. As of 2015, he is still under contract with the company and wrestling at the age of 50. The Undertaker became famous for his undefeated streak through 21 straight WrestleMania events. However, Brock Lesnar eventually broke this record at WrestleMania XXX.
