An ethical issue is a dilemma that requires an individual to choose an option that is either ethical, or right, or unethical, or wrong. Specifically, this is what society sees as good and bad behavior.
In health care, ethical dilemmas are normal. All assessments and resolutions have an ethical implication for patients, providers, and health-care leaders. Balancing care quality, improving access to care, and addressing end-of-life issues are just some of the major concerns. The business community also faces ethical issues, such as discrimination, side deals, corruption and negligence. An example of gross negligence is rushing through work to go home early. This can lead to a major oversight that is a violation of ethical or official duty.
