The different Chinese animal signs, also known as the Chinese Zodiac, are a collection of twelve symbols which provide general characteristics that people born under a specific sign share. A different animal represents each year. For example, 2015 is the year of the sheep.
There are both positive and negative characteristics associated with each animal symbol. The industrious rat is said to be social and charming, while also displaying negative traits such as greed and self-obsession. The methodical ox is said to be logical and hardworking, while lacking a sense of humor. The unpredictable tiger is said to be independent and charismatic, but also possessive and vain.
The lucky rabbit is cultured and diplomatic, but also quite superficial. The dynamic dragon enjoys the most fortune out of all the animals; however, they are also known as loners. The wise snake is intuitive and a great listener, but can also be very unforgiving.
The independent horse is industrious and loves a challenge, but rarely thinks about the future. The sensitive sheep is gentle and sincere; however, they are more prone to stress than the other animals. The mischievous monkey is curious and eager to learn, but can be difficult to trust.
The meticulous rooster is cocky and proud with superb organization skills. The devoted dog is loyal without prejudice, but also has a nasty side. Finally, the nurturing pig is the most honest of the animals, but can be very gullible.
