What Is the Difference Between Lortab and Percocet?
According to Drugs.com, Lortab is a combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone, while Percocet is a combination of acetaminophen and oxycodone. Both medications are pain killers prescribed for moderate-to-severe levels of pain.
Both hydrocodone and oxycodone are opioid, or narcotic, medications, notes Drugs.com, and may be addictive. An overdose of either medication can be fatal; signs of overdose include nausea, vomiting, confusion, pinpoint pupils, shallow breathing and weakness. Drugs.com advises patients not to take Lortab or Percocet with any medications that may cause drowsiness such as anxiety medication, muscle relaxers, sleeping pills or seizure medication.
