Our Daily Bread Ministries is a non-denominational Christian organization that distributes various forms of inspirational media. Its most prominent publication is "Our Daily Bread," a devotional booklet published in over 55 languages.
Dr. Martin De Haan founded Our Daily Bread Ministries in 1938, by its original name of the Detroit Bible Class. The organization became RBC Ministries in 1994, before adopting its current name in 2015 of Our Daily Bread Ministries. As of 2015, Richard de Haan Jr. is the president of the ministry. The ministry is classified as a non-profit organization and is supported primarily by donations.
"Our Daily Bread," the ministry's most popular publication, is released yearly. The booklet has 365 articles for each day of the year. Every article contains a Bible passage and an explanation of how Christians can apply the information to their daily lives or their relationship with Jesus Christ. In 2011, 10 million copies of "Our Daily Bread" were distributed worldwide. "Our Daily Bread" is also available in the form of an e-mail newsletter. Our Daily Bread Ministries also produces a daily audio program that expands upon the information found in the booklet, as well as short inspirational messages published on social media sites, such as Facebook and Twitter.
