How Do You Copy and Paste Using a Computer Keyboard?

Hold the Ctrl button on the left side down and press specific letter keys to copy and paste text. For these keyboard shortcuts, Ctrl is always held down with the left pinkie as the left index or middle fingers type the second key.
- Select the text
Hold the Ctrl button down and press the A key to select all. Hold the Shift key down and use the arrow keys to highlight parts of the text.
- Use CTRL plus C to copy text
To copy the highlighted text, hold down the CTRL button with your left pinkie finger and press the C key with your left index finger.
- Use CTRL plus V to paste text
Find where you want to paste the highlighted text. To paste, hold down the CTRL button again, but press the V key.
