Is CNN Liberal and Fox Conservative?

There is no widespread agreement on whether political bias appears in the reporting of CNN or Fox News. However, more CNN viewers are liberal than conservative, while more conservatives than liberals view Fox News, according to Pew Research Center.

A Pew Study found 60 percent of Fox News viewers describe themselves as conservative while 10 percent say they are liberal. However, 32 percent of CNN viewers describe themselves as conservative and 30 percent identify as liberal, notes Pew Research Center.

Despite a 6 percent decrease in prime-time viewing of Fox News recently, they still continue to attract a larger audience than CNN, HLN and MSNBC combined. In 2002, Fox News pulled ahead of CNN in viewers and has been ahead since that time.
