Chuck Missler received his Ph.D. in biblical studies from the Louisiana Baptist University. Although the school has not sought government accreditation by choice, it is one of six schools approved by the Baptist Bible Fellowship International and is an affiliate of the Association for Biblical Higher Education.
Raised in Southern California, Missler received a master's degree in engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. Before becoming an evangelical Christian and author, he worked in the military and then transitioned to the private sector. As a businessman, he started his own company and served as a consultant for others. He later became the chairman of Phoenix Group International, and when a major venture of the company failed, Missler found himself turning to God and the Bible.
