Some Christian interpretations for common dreams are that God wants to either notify the individual of an upcoming obstacle and blessing or the devil is attempting to terrorize a Christian's faith. God speaks to Christians through visions in order to notify them about an upcoming burden that can affect them and their families. The dreams are a warning and serve to notify Christians to pray incessantly and trust in God.
Not all dreams are God given; the Devil also can attempt to shake up the faith of Christians by showing them visions that make them tremble and fear. Job 7:13-14 says "When I say, my bed shall comfort me, my couch shall ease my complaints. Then thou scarest me with dreams, and terrifiest me through visions. In this verse, Job is referring to the Devil's attempt to destroy his mental health and turn him away from God.
In the Bible, God used dreams to communicate messages and illuminate certain situations to his followers. God spoke to Abraham, Joseph, Daniel, Solomon and Samuel through dreams and visions. Some symbols that appear in common dreams are water, nakedness and a serpent. Serpents represent the devil, while water and nakedness represent incoming blessing and intimacy with God.
