That truth indicates Christians are God’s workmanship, new spiritual creations that never existed before. They are part of something greater than themselves, having been made one in Christ, in the Father and with other believers.

Because of their position in Christ, Christians are raised up and seated together with Jesus in heavenly places of spiritual authority. They are heirs that have obtained an inheritance.

Followers of Christ are endued with, examples of and viewed as being the righteousness of God, with God having granted them His own righteousness. They are approved, acceptable and in right relationship with Him, not because of what they have done, but because of what Jesus did for them.

In Christ, they become the redeemed of the Lord. They are purchased with a price, sanctified, set apart and made holy in Jesus. Those who come to Him are loved, accepted and blessed of God with all spiritual blessings given by the Holy Spirit in the heavenly realm.

Above all, they are eternally alive to God, set free of condemnation and from the law of sin and death.
