Family tours are led by expert guides on the Friday after Thanksgiving, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and President's Day, and registration is limited to 80 families per holiday. As of 2015, school tours are available for fourth graders during the school year at a group rate of $35 for groups 35 students or fewer with a maximum of two chaperones. Additional students cost $1 each, and additional chaperones cost $3 each. If an expert guide is not available, school tours can be self-guided.

Schedule a self-guided tour for Sundays and weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The mission gift shop and museum are open every day except Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. General admission to tour the mission, museum, garden and historic sites is $1 per child under 18 years old, $3 per senior over 65 years old, and $4 per adult between 18 and 65 years old.

Tours that also include the Ventura County Museum cost $1 per child, $4 per senior, and $7 per adult. Alternatively, a family of two parents with two children under 12 years of age costs $14.
