The King James Version of the Bible was originally published in 1611 A.D. for King James I of England. The authorized version became standard in English-speaking Christian churches in 1814. As of 2015, many denominations of the Christian faith recognize the King James Version of the Bible as standard; however, Christian denominations also recognize other translations, such as the New International Version and New Standard Version .
