The Myers Briggs test asks if you agree or disagree with statements such as "You trust reason rather than feelings" and "You know how to put every minute of your time to good use." Based on your answers, your personality is determined via four categories: extraversion/introversion, sensing/intuition, thinking/feeling and judging/perceiving. For example, you may be categorized ESFP, meaning your answers leaned towards extraversion, sensing, feeling and perceiving. ESFPs are said to be outgoing lovers of life who enjoy working with other people.

The Myers Briggs personality test is based on the idea that different individuals make judgements based on how they process and perceive information. Although people are unique, the way they act and feel follows distinct patterns. Of the 16 personality types, none is considered superior or inferior to another. They are just different preferences for experiencing the world.

In addition to getting to know yourself better, the results of the Myers Briggs can be used to indicate what career best suits your personality type, and the test can also gauge your compatibility with a romantic partner's personality type.
