Entering a city and/or state name in the Find-a-Church feature results in a list of churches in or near the location entered. Clicking on a church name links to the church website. Church contact information is provided at the top of each church home page and the minister is identified at the bottom of each page. Clicking on conference and district directory links leads to a page identifying the states in each conference or district, with links to each conference or district directory. The InfoServ feature requires the user to enter her name, e-mail address and ZIP code along with a message detailing the information being sought.

Recognizing each church member as a minister of the faith, the United Methodist Church is moving away from the use of the word minister to identify its clergy. Referring to clergy or a pastor as the minister is believed to diminish the church member's role to that of a consumer or recipient of services.
