Ezekiel (the son of Buzi) was a Hebrew prophet, as acknowledged by Judaism, Christianity and Islam. He is the central protagonist and author of the Book of Ezekiel (which reveals the prophecies regarding the destruction of Jerusalem) in the Hebrew Bible. In Christianity, Ezekiel was beatified as a saint in the liturgical calendar of the Eastern Orthodox Church on 23 July. The tomb of Ezekiel is said to be situated in modern-day southern Iraq near Kefil.
