The owner?s wallet card contains the original security code for keyless entry. Owners can typically find this card in the glove compartment of a Ford vehicle upon purchasing it. The code has five digits.
Owners who misplace the original security code can contact a Ford dealership for help in retrieving the code. Proof of ownership is required for code retrieval.
Owners can also display the factory set code if they have two programmed passive anti-theft keys for the vehicle. To do this, the owner inserts a key into the ignition, switches the ignition on for a few seconds, turns off the ignition, and then removes the key before inserting the second key into the ignition and switching it on. The preset factory code displays for a few seconds on the vehicle?s information display.
