On SermonCentral, users search for sermons by selecting certain criteria, such as a book of the Bible or specific chapters and verses. Users also search by typing in a topic or keyword such as faith, love or prayer. Another search method involves selecting sermons by church denomination. Lastly, users search by date, picking sermons ranging from the last seven days or up to the last 120 days.

On the right side of the search area, SermonCentral lists the current trending sermon topics, along with a link to view all available topics. On the bottom of the page, the website shows a featured topic that includes a preaching bundle, video illustration and worship music video. Additionally, the page shows featured sermon contributors, listing their names, the churches or organizations they affiliate with and their photos. Some contributing preachers include John Piper, Brady Boyd and Jerry Watts, as of 2015.

Bible Study Tools lists information for each available sermon, providing the sermon title, the preacher's name, the date given, a short summary and a link to the full sermon. Users are also able to search for sermons by utilizing the search bar at the top of the page. Preachers that contribute to the website include David Mathis, Alistair Begg and Phillip Graham Ryken.
