The University of Minnesota Twin Cities website provides two sample case studies. One given example is a basic psychiatric case study, and the second is a social sciences questionnaire survey research paper.
Although the University of Minnesota website provides two good examples of case studies, there are numerous ways of writing case studies. To be a case study, a paper has to meet some basic elements which all case studies include. First, the study presents the situation, then it presents the group impacted by the case study, then it presents an explanation of the way the subject found a solution, and lastly a section on the solution, how the solution was implemented, and the results of the implemented solution.
